If you've heard of Polyvore or are wondering what it is all about here's your chance to try it out! This new mini-editor feature allows you to create looks without the commitment of signing up for an account and allows them to be featured right here on our site/blog!!
We'd love to see how you would wear BTS (or for the fellas/ladies who want to design an outfit for their partner!) Maybe you want to go bold and style a cami with jeans and motorcycle jacket, maybe you'd pair heels with just a babydoll... whatever your style is take a moment to express it! Don't see an item in the pieces we pre-selected- you can search Polyvore's huge database and pull items from sites all over the world. So if you want to add diamonds, pearls, a strappy pair of sandals, even a yacht to your collage you can find it with a quick and easy search.
Drag and drop items into the design area, resize and "crop" to create the look that you wish!
We're excited to see what you all will come up with! Here's an example of a fall look we made using items in the mini-editor below!
New York market week is when buyers from around the country and the world come to NY to buy from a plethora of designers featuring their wholesale collections. We launched at Curve NY back in Aug 2009 and this was the one year anniversary of our official wholesale debut. We decided to do something different this year so we booked a luxurious room at hotel AKA and hosted a private buying and press suite to coincide with the shows. The relaxed and private atmosphere allowed us to show our collection one on one to buyers without the hustle and noise of the trade show venues, and we had a resoundingly positive response from the buyers that were able to make it out! Here's a sneak peek at the hotel's gorgeous accomodations and the fall winter collections and designer capsule collection "Layla L'obatti for Between the Sheets" on display.
a glimpse of Between the Sheets Collection's Spring Summer 11 lookbook
I wish our kitchen was this modern and spacious!
Luxe jewelry we used in our SS11 campaign shoot and our buyer/press gift boxes lined up on the counter.
A look at Tzen's luxe jewelry line on display. Gorgeous hand wire wrapped and semi-precious stone jewelry made in Chicago! We love local designers!
Breakfast treats, and salt water taffy from the jersey shore to set the mood for SS11 buying!
High tea sandwiches (recipe post to follow) cucumber/cream cheese & mint, goat cheese/watercress and pecan, brie/arugula and cranberry!
We sprinkled the table with collectible shells, and the images of BTS collection from Basics, to Fall Winter 2010, to Spring Summer 11 cycled on the flatscreen in the background. A playlist of soft music that inspired us echoes softly through the spacious room.
Fall winter collection is coming soon! Stay tuned for new store announcements and also some key gift guides we may be featured in for holiday!! xo

You know that it's spring when, the sun begins to shine and flowers start to bloom. For those lucky enough to be close enough to a region with a cherry blossom festival, it's definitely one of the most amazing and refreshing sights of spring.
Remember a couple of weeks ago we mentioned an upcoming event started by Improv Everywhere called "No Pants Subway Ride", well we're following up with their video of this year's pantsless subway riders who braved one of the coldest days in NYC to be a part of this!
The largest number of riders were located in NYC but other cities took part as well, for more images and to see the participant count in your neck of the woods click here to read the full account on Improv Everywhere's blog.
Did we forget to mention that even if you're not in New York City, there may be a subway or metro near you that will also be participating! Check out the other cities where the No Pants Ride will take place this Sunday January 10, 2010 here: http://improveverywhere.com
My daring friend just alerted me to an awesome participatory NYC event, the Pantsless Subway ride. Meet up, get instructions, and take off your pants... For more info: http://improveverywhere.com AND you can RSVP on facebook: click here to RSVP
We'll keep you posted with pics if we go... hint hint See you there, in your underwear!
Not close to NYC? There may be a city close to you that is also participating, click here for more.
After going through a complete redesign the home of the BTS girls is back! Between the Sheets Fashion show has just been relaunched--with new galleries of the designers, models, and collections from the BTS 05, BTS 06, and BTS 07 fashion shows! We are so excited to have a new home to showcase these shows and share with our fans!
If you've already seen the videos of the BTS 2007 dream fashion show the galleries on the new site let you go behind the scenes and dig deeper into the designers, models and events that helped launch Between the Sheets.
We are cooking up plans for new events in the future, fashion shows, BTS product launches, trunk shows, and more. The fashion show website will be the place for news on future events and to continue to check out information on your favorite models and designers from the past shows.
First of all, what a great experience being around so many brands and seeing it all from a new perspective! 3 days of standing on your feet and fending off competitors while inviting in buyers can be exhausting. After the second day I vowed to not show in this kind of setting again, I loved the experience but I already realized in this saturated forum there was a definite lean towards big brands with money. I need to mention here some other brands I've followed and loved like Wundervoll were there, and I felt like the traffic just moved past to all the big booths. I wanted to stop by but then again, didn't want to come off as the snooping competitor so I thought better of it. I think also the collection would be easier to appreciate and view in a more intimate setting, so next year I'm planning on setting up a suite and making appointments, serving prosecco, and getting to know our customers intimately.
Load in day at the show was madness, it was so hot in there, for some reason there was no air conditioning... but we steamed and cleaned and set up pretty smoothly. Nothing like a little work to help you sleep better right? Nope, I was exhausted after we were done, but giddy and awake nonetheless. It was a great feeling to see it all hanging there, and really, it looked amazing! Had it been a store I would've agonized over which to buy!
Johana left and Layla right the first day at the show
The designer range Layla L'obatti for Between the Sheets was a big hit! Here are both groups, the deco lace babydoll and the sheer romance bralette and tap pant.
So next year we plan on toasting to a whole new season, but for now it will be following up with boutiques and making sure we get our lovely lingerie out to a store near you! We're excited to introduce these lines. I believe both have something to offer that women will love. So spread the word... life is so much sweeter... when you play in your lingerie! Between the Sheets promises to keep more fabulous pieces that you will live, laugh, and play in!
