Be bold, be creative!
If you've heard of Polyvore or are wondering what it is all about here's your chance to try it out! This new mini-editor feature allows you to create looks without the commitment of signing up for an account and allows them to be featured right here on our site/blog!!
We'd love to see how you would wear BTS (or for the fellas/ladies who want to design an outfit for their partner!) Maybe you want to go bold and style a cami with jeans and motorcycle jacket, maybe you'd pair heels with just a babydoll... whatever your style is take a moment to express it! Don't see an item in the pieces we pre-selected- you can search Polyvore's huge database and pull items from sites all over the world. So if you want to add diamonds, pearls, a strappy pair of sandals, even a yacht to your collage you can find it with a quick and easy search.
Drag and drop items into the design area, resize and "crop" to create the look that you wish!
We're excited to see what you all will come up with! Here's an example of a fall look we made using items in the mini-editor below!

Nothing says summer like a sweet and tangy salad. Here we took the season's ripest watermelon and paired it with sweet cooked/chopped beets for a colorful plate that is as much a feast for the eyes as for your palette.
You'll need:
-1 cup watermelon
-1/2 cup arugula
-1 beet sliced or diced
-baquette or some other crusty bread
-sea salt and pepper for seasoning
-olive oil
-lime or lemon juice
Slice/Dice and plate your watermelon and beet, season with sea salt and fresh cracked pepper. You'd be surprised at how amazing the sweetness of watermelon is when brought out by the tanginess of salt and spice of pepper! Garnish with slices of fresh bread (baguette here)
Add arugla or a green of your choice, we also chopped green onions but you can leave those out if you like.
We squeezed lime juice for a tangy summer taste, but you could easily substitute lemon.
Finally drizzle with some EVOO for that final touch of buttery sweetness
Bon Appetit!

It may not be lingerie, but we were blown away by these breezy nyc images of alessandra ambrosio by will davidson for rush magazine. Reminds us of those windy days between spring and summer and summer and fall, when the city feels a little bit like one of those snowglobes with bits and bobbles flying along the streets. The scene from Unfaithful where Diane Lane's character is blown about soho and bumps into a charming man who figuratively and literally sweeps her off her feet. September and fall fashion are fast approaching and it kind of feels like september breeze always brings something fresh and new, even to a city like New York that's seen it all... we're anxiously awaiting, fall.

We hope you like some of our Polyvore creations below, sort of inspired by a show we are unfortunately not able to watch sans HBO - True Blood! And maybe a little of Lady Gaga's Alejandro thrown in the mix.

With the summer fast approaching and family and social gatherings abound, the sun is so close we can almost taste it!
As any Haute Hostess or Happening Host will tell you, there is no better way to entertain a crowd than with treats that tantalize all the senses. We're going to be bringing you some great summer cuisine that we've cooked up here. Recipes we've come up with over the years or been inspired to create by something new and fresh at the farmer's market or grocery store. We hope you'll take these and make them a part of your relaxation routine, something to help you wind down from the stressful work week and enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes of a delicious and nutricious home cooked meal!
We recently volunteered at Riverkeeper's Shadfest (an outdoor festival in support of Riverkeeper and their ongoing efforts to keep the rivers and fish that reside in them safe), and we met the two very happening guys from Fire Island Beer Company. We admired their entrepreneurial spirit, their superior branding, laid back inspiration, and of course their kick-ass brews. From the female perspective the Red Wagon IPA was refined enough that it appealed to my sweeter sentiments, and with a smooth finish and high alcohol content it also appealed to BTS guy's preferences. Shadfest is held on the historic property surrounding Boscobel mansion, and during the slow parts of the day we took my fashion eye and the scenery and took some artistic photographs of our experience, the view, and their beer.

We loved Fire Island Beer Co's label and inspiration. The compass, lighthouse, deer, and other scenic references to the place where their company was born are so quintessential to this island off the coast of Long Island without cars or mass transit. Removed but connected by a thread, I think that many people can aspire to at least live that lifestyle when on vacation this summer.

To properly pour a beer don't let the liquid hit the bottom, angle the cup/glass so it slides down the side. This reduces the "head"(foam) at the top.

When getting close to full turn the cup upright and let the liquid fall into what is already in the glass/cup.

Finally let the glass drop away from the pour at the very end, this creates just the right amount of head/foam to the pour.

"Lighthouse Ale" overlooking the Hudson river valley, west point in the distance. I think the tree wishes it could take a drink!

So my guy thinks lingerie and football is the best idea ever, no surprise! Every guy I've mentioned this to is like, wow the "girls' tops must fly off!" Well as a girl that does not hold as much appeal to me. I like the idea of lingerie that takes a masculine thing and turns it feminine, like rib tanks with lace... In the case of a league named after it's outfits, I want the lingerie to live up! I think they went all out for the super bowl halftime show! (which aired on pay per view)

The garters, the way that the numbers were appliqued on were all so cute and innovative, now the "uniforms that they have available for sale are not as exciting to me. I'd like what the girls are wearing above! Including knee pads, helmet, and shoulder pads!
San Diego Seduction
I mean, I am thinking of dressing up for halloween, and if I was wearing these I don't think anyone would know there is an actual league... Put the LFL label on them, add some padding in with the set, so maybe me and my friends can hold an impromptu game with a real football in the park! I know the guys would love that, but it's not about the guys, it's about the game and the lingerie!! The two things in the name "lingerie" and "football". Men have short attention spans (trust me, I spend my time combatting this with my designs!) so pretty soon the novelty of girls throwing around a pigskin in their skivvies will wear off.

At that point if there are fans left it will be women. Also if the guys came/watched a game in which girls were really playing, I mean giving it there all, I think they might come back. There is something sexy about a physically empowered girl who could even hold her own with the boys.
I think the NFL should team up with LFL, and I'd like to see those big boys blindsided by a amazonian female decked out in her lingerie! haha I mean can you picture their faces across the line? We all know where guys look, and in a boy vs. girl match the uniforms aka lingerie could actually be a huge feint (look here while I throw there).
LFL games should be fridays this fall, starting 9/4/09, and I'm thinking that for my september birthday we'll go to a game with friends. When we do, you'll hear about it!

Apparently they do in this awesome packaging design by Russian packaging designer Ramm ND. We found it on one of our favorite industry lingerie blogs www.the-lingerie-post.com which we then traced back to this pretty cool blog all about packaging design, which I'm sure we'll be following and getting more inspiration from in the future.
As a design lover I tried tracing this back to the mentioned designer with no luck, it's been picked up by tons of blogs, but if anyone knows if the designer has a site I'd love to tag it here so feel free to email us if you know anything! Also...I kind of want a picture drinking from this can...don't you?! I am a beer girl in addition to being a BTS girl, so I'm all about getting this beer, but it would really need to live up to the packaging in taste...haha ok nevermind I don't even want to go there! I'm just saying, no matter how good the packaging it's gotta be worth drinking the whole can!

Do beer and lingerie mix? I can think of many situations where the answer would be a resounding hell yes! A good beer is one of my favorite things, and my girl decked out in a sexy little something is even better. Drinking beer while admiring my girl in some sexy lingerie...also outstanding.

But a beer can with a crotch and garter belt, not something I want to be drinking my favorite beverage out of. In the end, the quality of the beer in the crotch-can is far more important than what I am drinking out of, but if given a choice I prefer my beer from a more conventional can...or in a pinch the world's largest Guinness would suffice.
