BTS® History & Team - Layla & Josh
Between the Sheets® began in 2005, as an underground NYC fashion event, but the BTS® of a today is a much different enterprise founded by couple Layla L'obatti and Joshua Verleun in 2009. They say never mix business and pleasure but for this team it has proved to be a winning combination. Layla brings the design and industry knowledge, while Josh brings his legal skills, environtmental sustainability knowledge, and persepective from behind the camera lens.
Together they have driven the vision of Between the Sheets from conception through to thriving vanguard in the lingerie industry. The journey has not been without its bumps, but then again smooth seas do not make skillful sailors. With a partnership founded on love they have created collections of intimates and sleepwear Made in USA during a time when manufacturing in the US has become a nearly foreign concept. Dedicated to upholding the values they both hold dear, they continue to put their indelible mark on the definition of lingerie today.
