Fit Advice
Measuring and Sizing
To start bra fitting: Use a mirror and measuring tape. The tape should be parallel to the floor for all measurement.
1. band: For the band, measure tightly but firmly around your ribcage under the breasts, underbust on the diagram. If you get an increment of an inch, round up or down to a whole number.
If the whole number is even add 4, if the whole number is odd 5, giving you a traditional bra band size ie. 32, 34, 36, 38
2. bust: Next refer to the diagram for where to measure the apex. This is the highest point on the breast, which is much easier to define when wearing a bra. Measure around the body at the apex level.
3. calculate cup: Subtract your original underbust measurement from your apex measurement and refer to the chart at the left. The difference between these two numbers will give you your cup size
Size:
Example 1 band: 29 + 5= 34 apex: 32 - 29= 3 which would equal a 34C.
Example 2 band: 30.5 round up to 31+5= 36 apex: 32-30.5= 1/5 which would equal a 36B
NOTE: Many women have one breast that is larger than the other. To fit yourself properly you should fit the larger breast and a great solution is to purchase a reusable cookie or insert to lift up the smaller breast. This way you won’t get the digging in on the larger cup, and with the insert you solve any gapping or unevenness on the other side.
