Temporarily Out of Stock - Matchplay Long Robe Black
I had been wanting a new robe for several years but had been unimpressed with all the robes that are (1) bulky, (2) 3/4 length sleeve and/or above-the-knee length, and/or (3) inappropriate for everyday use. Was it so hard to make an opaque, black long-sleeve, long robe that is non-frumpy (and dare I say sexy?!)? This is the only one that I've seen that meets all my criteria, including being ethically made. I'm just over 5' (34 bust-28 waist-35 hips), and small fits perfectly! It grazes the top of my feet and does not drag on the ground. I LOVE having it so long. I hang it over 2 hooks because I don't want its weight to stretch it out. I would have liked an internal tie to keep it a little more securely in place, but I haven't had any problems with it opening too much or anything. I love this robe and that it was made in NYC. I have already been recommending it to others. In it, I feel pulled together, attractive & comfortable. AND I could answer the door in it if I needed to: perfect!
This company has wonderful, proactive, go the extra mile, customer service. When ordering my robe, my cart never registered that the robe was in it, so I hit the "add to" cart button three more times, then gave up a. A representative called me the next day to make sure I really wanted to order four black robes. She cleared up the problem and I was saved the hassle of returning three robes. I got my robe very quickly. It fits very well, and it is very comfortable. It's the perfect lightweight, summer robe. I kinda wish it had pockets but I'm not complaining. It is the best fitting jersey robe on the market, I have seriously searched.
I bought this as a Christmas gift after having the same robe (in gray) for almost a year now. This review is based on my personal usage of the same product since last Christmas. I put it on my robe first thing in the morning, before I begin my preparation for work. It's so comfortable and flowy, avoiding bulkiness. The stretch does mean that it has a lot of give, and sometimes I realize I have the side seams further forward than likely intended. If I'm not working, it may be an all day attire choice :) I've maintained the wash and line dry instructions and how well it has held up is testament to the quality of it. No wearing at any seams so far, and no pilling. I don't feel that it overstretches, but do make sure to dry it on a even surface, as I dried it over a drying rack with some posts and I had little puckers from the posts. It is a bit sheer, but if I'm wandering around all day in my robe without company, that doesn't make any difference to me. Definitely a worthwhile investment.

great robe, lives up to description, except that skirt is a little short - it hits a few inches above my ankles. would have preferred ankle length.
