color play – Pink Blue

Dreamy combinations of Pink Blue

A delightful pairing of Pink & Blue makes for the perfect color play. It’s not as cut and dry as “pink is for girls” and “blue is for boys” anymore is it? Lighter variations are often used as part of a classic pastel palette for rococco paintings and work so well for costuming Marie Antoinette. Darker variations make for a moody bohemian mood, like deep blue velvet against mauve paneled walls. The traditional gender assignments of these colors, when set aside, makes for a truly romantic color story.

Most Difficult to Make – Meet the Maker Day 29

In the post about design I talked about pattern making and the process of bringing a design to life. Packaging – Meet the Maker Day 28

There is something really lovely about packaging and wrapping orders to ship – smaller items get our 100% recycled and recyclable plastic mailer and larger orders are shipped in boxes with a stamped logo. Each order gets wrapped with tissue, ribbon (which I mentioned in previous post is extra runs from production of ties, straps, […]
