The lovely Style on the Couch features both our Fall winter 2012 ranges in her regular Friday Lingerie Lust series.
gift guide – Style on the Couch Holiday 2011 gift guide
When you think of New York style blog, images of a tie-dye haired hipster might come to mind, but one of our favorite street style and fashion blogs is Style on the Couch, the musings of a fashion (and lingerie) loving psychologist living in New York. Not many New Yorkers are “from New York”, Sarah fits that bill as a British transplant living in New York, and her tastes most definitely reflect both sides of the pond – most specifically perhaps is her appreciation for luxury lingerie that most Americans would balk to discuss. Her refreshingly open reviews of intimates as fashion are rare to find on your typical fashion blog, but again Sarah is not your typical fashion blogger.
While so many street style blogs cater to the tween and festival going set, Sarah’s own style touches on a demographic that’s been left behind – the urban careerist might be the best way of putting it. With her own apres-work and weekend wear reflecting so accurately what women are actually wearing in cities like New York and London… and if its not what they are are wearing it is what they will want to wear after one glance at her chic and understated style. Add thats sleek styling to the fact that she well connected (she introduced us to Noelani of Mon Petit Chou Chou via twitter before our Forty Winks Trunk Show) and you have one very savvy fashionista with connections across the country and the world! Sarah is one to watch, with a new column on Lookbooks.com she’s bringing her sharp eye and fashion sense to an even wider audience. Lingerie lovers should tune into her regular friday Lingerie Lust posts, and for her personal picks for lingerie holiday gift giving from Between the Sheets read on…
My friend Maria – Sheer Romance Dressing Robe in Ivory
Next year Maria gets married and has chosen to hold her ceremony by the beach in what looks to be a beautiful and dreamy location. What could be more perfect for her than the Sheer Romance robe in ivory, to wear while she prepares for her big day and on her honeymoon afterwards.

My Dad – Playdate Robe in Black
Okay, okay I am being sneaky here. I would gift this gorgeous piece of loungewear to my Dad, and get him to re-gift it for my mum. She works super hard on the cooking for us all on Christmas Day and on Boxing Day I can see her lounging around in this whilst my Dad makes her to breakfast.

My friend Liz – Playdate Babydoll in Dawn
My friend Liz goes on maternity leave next year and I think this babydoll would be perfect to flatter her bump and feel good against her skin. I know that new mums are super busy, but I hope she can get a little “me” time in and re-discover the art of lounging with this item from the Playdate collection.

Little Cousin – The Birds of Play Lace Bodyuit
Sometimes lingerie is just too good to keep completely under wraps, like this bodysuit. My younger cousin has a great sense of style and I can see her wearing this underneath a jacket for a night out, or she might style it peaking out from underneath an oversized tee for a casual meeting with friends. She would love this!

For me – The Arabesque Gown in Navy
It was love at first sight for me with the new Arabesque range from Between The Sheets. This gorgeous gown is just so full of seductive power and glamour it is the thing I am most coveting right now. I simply adore the deep V at the front, and the flattering bias cut. Christmas morning – me, champagne and the Arabesque gown… I see it now
