If you’re like us, it feels like just yesterday it was summer, and we were traveling the East Coast in the sizzling heat. Now it feels like we’ve woken up from some sort of Rip Van Winkle like sleep to Thanksgiving! Fall is still in a fog and the holidays are upon us, it seems like we always get caught by surprise. That was where the idea for guest gift guides came from – like a shopping trip or chat with a friend you get ideas for your own loved ones from their pro-planning. So for our second holiday here at BTS we’ve asked a few of our favorite fashion and lingerie bloggers to join us in sharing their BTS picks for the holiday gift giving season in hopes of giving you a jump start on yours!

It was on one of those summer trips and during a trunk show at Forty Winks that we first met Noelani of Mon Petit Chou Chou. We were first been introduced to her blog by the girls of Forty Winks on twitter and another stylish tweetheart whom we’ll introduce you to in another guest post. We’ve been following her journeys ever since. What we love about her blog is the eclectic mix of art and events alongside fashion and food. Her writing and the photography also lend the feeling that you are catching up with a long time friend, and this all photographed and set on the backdrop of Boston’s New England charm. Its not hard to see why she’s got such a loyal following with her regular style posts and finger on the pulse of the Boston fashion scene! So without much ado we’d like to share her holiday picks from BTS with you…

I love the holidays. Time off. Time with family. Time huddled inside from the elements. A Christmas Story marathons. It’s just the best time of year for so many reasons.

Loungewear, lingerie, and all around frilly things are really such a lovely decadent gesture, I can’t imagine many people who wouldn’t like receiving something some chic and comforting nightwear!

First up, my mother. After 30+ years it can be challenging to find something unique for the number one lady in my life. She is also the total opposite of me in the clothing department, preferring jeans and t’s for the farm, contrasting my standard heels and dresses. That is why I would opt for the Well Played cardigan in “shade”. It’s perfect for layering up in our drafty old farm house, is casual enough to be worn lounging around, but it is also just the type of transitional item she has been lacking to change up her daily outfits.

 

 

Next up, my best friend Mary, who desperately needs a vacation. I have been friends with her since…..well, now I’m not going to date either of us here, but it’s been a while. She is my rock. And it is my mission to get her somewhere tropical for some R&R in 2012. The Arabesque tunic would be perfect for our TBD trip. Can’t you just see this layered up over a swim suit, lounging by the pool, cocktail in hand? Shame it doesn’t come in two shades, otherwise I’d get one for both of us!

 

A good friend of mine, Nicole just got engaged and is busy planning her wedding for next year. I see no reason in getting a head start on her bridal shower and picking up something extra fun for her and her fiance! I just adore the lace and satin in the deco design of this ivory chemise. It is classy, alluring and timeless. Perfect for the soon to be married couple!

 

I can’t forget my mother in law! She is sweet as pie, and after some health issues this year, deserves some extra pampering. Queue the tickled pink lemonade Bombshell collection. I want her to relax and let someone else do the worrying for a change!

 

And finally, what would I get myself? I know I should say something frilly and lacy but at the end of the day what do I really want to do? Well, I want to curl up in a pair of comfy pants, kick back, and tuck into a nice dinner, and bottle of wine with my husband! I have some BTS lounge shorts I picked up this summer and I feel no shame in admitting they were the first thing I changed into every day when I got home from work. Now I just need a slightly longer pair for the cooler months!
