So… when we first set our sites on shooting at Coney Island we asked ourselves: how does one pull off a lingerie shoot at the shore? Good thing we make a lot of loungewear because we could style things so that they weren’t so revealing. We knew there would be a fair number of “oglers” and indeed there were, but perhaps they were more interested in the stunning redhead beauty modeling our clothes than the clothes themselves… its ok, we understand, she IS gorgeous after all.
We scheduled almost a full day’s shoot… which in those temperatures is a lot. We rigged up a fancy little changing station out of pvc pipe and shower curtains- come on, it’s ghetto but it protected dear susan from prying eyes as she changed. We do admit its probably not as swanky as what they use on a big commercial shoot- but we’re a little brand remember! So check out our motley crew in the first of 3 (you heard it three!) behind the scenes looks at our Coney Island campaign photoshoot. Behind the lens, the lovely in house BTS photographer Josh aka my boyfriend, in front of the lens holding the lens that took our lookbook shots Insuh Yoon. That gal holding the reflector and arranging clothing and jewelry, that’s me, the designer, Layla. Our lovely assistants for the day were Charlie and LaParis, they deserve a round of applause. And by now you should know our lovely model Susan Coffey! Without further ado… let’s go to the shore

Our friendly PSA: wear sunblock kids.

love the haze (hence the color we named that top susan is wearing) and the angle of the wood on the boardwalk. Also the great scenery of the American flag, the ferris wheel and other Coney Is. landmarks in the backdrop.
